These cabs can be combined with innumerable chassis options and wheel configurations, including four frame strengths and four chassis heights.
Full details in the press release after the jump.
Together, Scania’s P-series and the new high-torque 13-litre EGR engines open new potential to specify compact, powerful trucks that are highly competitive in terms of weight. EGR technology combines excellent fuel economy with the convenience of not requiring additives, leaving space on the chassis for extra fuel or other equipment. The broad P-series cab range enables space to be optimised for a multitude of applications.
Scania has now developed the installation of the new 13-litre Euro 5 EGR engines in the P-series. Torque outputs of up to 2100 Nm are available without any restrictions, providing exceptional driveability for this class.
- 230 hp 1050 Nm Euro 5 and EEV 9-litre EGR
- 270 hp 1200 Nm ethanol EEV 9-litre EGR
- 280 hp 1400 Nm Euro 5 and EEV 9-litre EGR
- 320 hp 1600 Nm Euro 5 and EEV 9-litre EGR
- 360 hp 1850 Nm Euro 5 13-litre EGR

The Scania P-series offers one of the broadest cab ranges in the market. The range includes short cabs, day cabs and sleeper cabs, as well as low-entry and crew cabs.
These cabs can be combined with innumerable chassis options and wheel configurations, including four frame strengths and four chassis heights. Examples of P 360 and P 400 applications:
- 6100 kg fuel tractor
- Light 8 cu m 8x4 mixer turns the scales at 13400 kg
- 8x4 tipper with 20-tonne payload
- 2.7 m high car transporter
- Fast and compact emergency vehicle
Distinct, dynamic and sharper than ever, the Scania range now also includes the new Scania R-series, which sets a new standard in long-haulage truck design and technology. Its strong, articulated lines make a powerful, head-turning appearance wherever they go.
The new grille, with more distinct horizontal bars, features a brighter colour and a larger logo. The shape improves airflow around the corners and admits more air to the radiator and into the engine compartment.
The new bumper design blends into the strength of the frontal styling, while extending the availability of adaptive cruise control (ACC) to a wide range of models. Optional LED daytime running lights and high-pressure headlamp cleaners are integrated in the design and available for all cabs.
Low drag sideskirts are also introduced for all tractor units, as standard painted in the cab colour. They harmonise with the frontal styling and lines from the boarding steps. The new aerodynamic shape also improves fuel consumption by 0.6% compared to the current sideskirts. The new sideskirts are designed to accommodate larger fuel tanks, a step up to the catwalk and an integrated left-hand side exhaust outlet. A fuel tank capacity of up to 1500 litres can now be specified on all 4x2 tractor unit, both with EGR and SCR engines.
The unique exterior styling features of the Scania V8 truck range make a statement of independence and ambition. From the front, the V8s are easily recognised by the Black Brilliant grille with special grill mesh and the chromium Scania sign, model badges and air intakes. If you order your V8 with xenon headlights, they will come with special black surrounds.
From a side view the distinctive shape of the exhaust tailpipe – square with rear-mounted and round with side-mounted batteries - will draw attention, together with the elegant chrome trim on the low-drag sideskirt.
The V8 badges on the grille and sideskirts leave no one in doubt about what vehicle that just drove by.
- Scania, model and V8 badges in chrome finish at the front and chrome trim around the fresh air intakes
- V8 symbol on sideskirts
- Distinct front grille in Black Brilliant with special mesh pattern
- Xenon headlights (option) with dark surrounds
- Specially-styled exhaust tailpipe with chrome-finish cover plate on left-hand side (with low-drag sideskirts)
