You know when you're a kid in a toy store and you're presented with four toys to pick from, but the issue is that you really want all of them? That's what Aston Martin's new lineup of Q by Aston Martin->ke13 models feels like. Is it possible to just pick all of them as my favorite? I admittedly chose the DB9 Volante version, but the V12 Vantage S is tugging at my conscience.

Q by Aston Martin's work on the V12 Vantage S, which is set to debut at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance, deserves all the adulation it can get. It's rich body color exemplifies Aston Martin's luxurious image. The intricate detail of the interior is also a sight to behold, kind of like looking at a design masterpiece of the highest order.

Just looking at these models bound for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance->ke2839 is tough enough on its own. I can only imagine how difficult it is for an Aston Martin customer to get their hands on a Q by Aston Martin-personalized model.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S By Q

You normally don't see a car dressed in a rich and extravagant Purple Amethyst exterior paint. But the Q by Aston Martin personalization program operates on a higher plane of thinking than most of us. That's why it had no issues using Purple Amethyst on the body of the V12 Vantage S. On top of that, Aston also threw in a Monterey Pearl front grille and rear diffuser for good measure. Fantastic work all around.

The interior of the V12 Vantage S is admittedly a little more subdued as far as splashy colors are concerned. That being said, the Obsidian Black treatment, combined with the Vivid Purple leather details on some sections of the cabin, does add a vibe of royalty to the cabin. A series of special carbon-fiber details provide an emphatic final touch to the interior of the V12 Vantage S.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S

The arrival of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S in 2013 came as a surprise to a lot of us who thought that Aston Martin was discontinuing the V12 Vantage line. Turns out, the joke's on us because not only does the V12 Vantage live, but it also spurred the creation of the V12 Vantage S, the fastest Aston Martin not named the "One-77".

The new V12 Vantage S makes use of a bunch of racing technologies from models like Vantage GT4, GT3 and GTE competition cars, including a chassis developed by Bilstein, Brembo brakes and a two-stage Dynamic Stability Control by Continental can be completely turned off.

Power comes in the form of a 5.9-liter, V-12 engine that produces 565 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just under four seconds to go with a top speed of 205 mph.
