The German tuner G-Power has unveiled yet another tuning kit for BMW M3. Called "Sporty Drive," this new version adds up to 25 percent more power for the car’s V-8 engine and it can be combined with updated suspensions and, of course, a new set of wheels.

The new "Sporty Drive" system is being offered in three versions: SK I, SK II and SK II CS, with the latest one adding up to 190 horsepower to the car’s standard 420 horsepower. All versions include a TU (Technical Update) supercharger system with modified air intake housing, a larger racing air filter and modified ECU software.

On the exterior, the changes are being kept to a minimum and they only include a new set of 20-inch wheels plus a new stainless steel rear sport silencer with 4 x 83 mm tail pipes.

Exterior and interior

G-Power announced its new "Sporty Drive" package will mainly focus on the car’s engine upgrade, but we are pretty sure customers can also improve the look of their M3. For now, the only update announced by the tuner includes a set of 20-inch wrapped in Michelin tires measuring 255/30ZR20 on the front and 295/25ZR20 on the rear.

The new wheels can be combined with a new "GM3-RS" coil-over suspension with 9-way adjustable compression and rebound that improves directional stability at top speed, as well as help it hug corners more effectively. The backside of the M3 has is equipped with a new stainless-steel G-POWER rear sport silencer with 4 x 83 mm (0.15 x 3.26 inch) tail pipes.

G-Power didn’t announce any upgrades to the M3’s interior.

Engine upgrades

While the exterior and the interior upgrades are not necessarily impressive, the most incredible changes are under the hood. These drivetrain upgrades come in three different stages: SK I, SK II and SK II CS.

The three stages are offered with a TU (Technical Update) supercharger system and include different upgrades depending on the version. In SK I, the ASA T1-522 supercharger includes extensive CAD engineering and completely redesigned air intakes featuring a larger racing air filter. SK I bumps the M3’s engine up to a respectable 520 horsepower.

The next two versions – SK II and SK II CS – include a new ASA T1-523 supercharger, featuring an additional fuel pump system and, of course, the modification of the standard ECU software. The SKII upgrade bumps the M3 to 580 horsepower and the SK II CS bumps it to 610 ponies.

Thanks to the new "Sporty Drive" TU supercharger system, the G-Power M3 will deliver extremely sporty throttle response and increased performance numbers. We have yet to receive any final track-performance numbers, but we’re sure we’ll hear them soon.

Competition

Of course the "Sporty Drive" is not the first or the last package offered for the BMW M3. In fact, G-Power itself offers lots of other packages for the sporty Bimmer. One of its latest packages increases the M3’s output up to 720 horsepower and significantly improves the car’s performance numbers -- 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph.
