Porsche 695, also known as the T7 was presented in 1961 and was the prototype version of the future Porsche 911. The front end is very similar to the 911, but the rear is somewhat different.

The car's design was left into the car of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. His mission was to improve the space offered in the 356 by adding two back seats that can accommodate two children. He increased the 356's wheelbase by 30 cm and obtained the 695 prototype.

A very remarkable thing about the 695 prototype is its ample curved window that offered excellent luminosity and visibility on the interior. It was a truly original solution in a car of those times.

Also, with the 695 Porsche decided to start using the flat-six powerplant which was maintained in the 911 range ever since. It was a 2.2 litre flat-six, naturally aspirated engine that produced a total of 130 hp. The engine was mated to a four speed synchronized manual gearbox.

With a length of : 4,340 mm and a total weight of 1200kg, the 695 could hit a top speed of 124 mph and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 10 second.
