This may not be the first time that you have hear the Itlian super car builder, Lamborghini->ke44 is preparing a successor for the Murcielago. Well today we would like to show you a little more about the future dream machine, although it is still unnamed, we do know that the upcoming sports car will make its official debut sometime in 2012.

The theme of the future Murcielago->ke1267 replacement will be lightweight efficiency. The future 6.0 Liter 700 HP V12 powered Lamborghini will be able to to go from 0 to 60 MPH in just three seconds thanks to a lightweight carbon fiber body shell on top of Audi's aluminum space frame chassis. The 2010 car keeps the side flanks of the Murcielago, but the front end is clearly inspired by the ultra exclusive Reventon. The car will be be both wider and longer than the current model, and will also feature a completely redesigned rear end made up of a pronounced spoiler and few fresh strips of LEDs to make up the taillights.

This 21st century super car is just the automaker's first step, because they are expecting to debut their first ever hybrid Lamborghini by the year 2015 following this basic architecture. It doesn't really matter whether or not this is what the finished product will look like, just knowing that the Italians are heading in the right direction is enough to ensure that the raging bull will live on into the next century.
