Our spy photographers have caught the facelifted version of the BMW 5-Series testing in many times, but each time the prototypes were slightly camouflaged. Today, however, a set of images coming from China have revealed the upcoming 5-Series completely undisguised.

The exterior changes are quite limited and they include: larger fog lamps surrounded by chrome detailing and a revised rear bumper. The biggest surprise is that BMW->ke178 decided not to install the headlamps we have seen in the new 3-Series. Or, is this a sign that these leaked images are fake?

The interior will also receive a series of updates, including: higher quality materials and new technologies. Under the hood, the only major update we know of is a new turbocharged in-line six-cylinder replacing the old N55 engine in the 535i version.

We expect BMW to unveil the revised 5-Series pretty soon, most likely at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show or in April at the Auto Shanghai.
