During a recent statement, Ferrari->ke252 CEO, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, announced that the company will be headed to the 2011 Geneva Motor Show->ke228 with something "different" and adapted in response to the changing needs of the customers. That line, stated to no doubt enthrall us to the world of Ferrari, was only followed with the fact that it would carry either a hybrid powertrain or road applications from the Formula 1 KERS system.

Taking this statement - along with all of the latest spy shots and rumors - under consideration, we can only presume di Montezemolo was talking about the successor for the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti rumored to be equipped with a V12 550 hp and an electric motor of 100 HP. This engine option follows the pattern of the 599 Hy-Kers system that helps improve fuel consumption by 35%. This new model was also rumored to be offered with all-wheel-drive as an option. Di Montezemolo denied that all of these new technologies would be available before 2014, but this latest statement makes us wonder if that was just a shenanigan made to throw us all off their scent. Okay, so maybe that's just our hope, but we'll find out come January.
