AutoExpress revealed the first exclusive first pictures of the 2009 A5 Convertible testing in the hills of Switzerland. The car will make its world debut this autumn at the Paris Motor Show.

Audi will keep the same engine range as for the coupe version, meaning: a base 1.8-litre 170bhp four-cylinder petrol engine, followed by a 3.2-litre V6 producing 265bhp. Diesel-lovers can choose between a 2.7-litre with 190bhp and a 3.0-litre V6 TDI with 240bhp.

Regarding the design, the convertible version is identical with the coupe version and also feature a choice of a canvas roof over the retractable hard-top.
