With Black Friday just around the corner, retails have already prepared a juicy list of discounts for those willing to go on a spending spree on November 27th. But if you're looking for more than a TV, the latest iPhone, or a pair of snickers, here's an interesting offer you might have missed. According to Jalopnik, several Chevrolet->ke199 dealerships are offering hefty discounts for 2015 model year Camaro Z/28s. Specifically, Autotrader lists no fewer than 60 Z/28s that are on sale right now under $60,000, with the most affordable example fetching only $51,913.

With the Camaro Z/28->ke248 usually carrying an MSRP of $72,305 before options, it means you can save between $13,000 and $20,000 depending on where you live. Only if you don't mind that most cars have between 300 and 2,300 miles on their odometers, that is.

As a refresher, the Camaro Z/28, which is based on the previous-gen coupe, comes with a naturally aspirated, 7.0-liter V-8 under the hood and a whopping 505 horsepower on tap. The muscle car->ke507 needs only four seconds to hit 60 mph from a standing start, which is only a half-second slower than the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. And even though it's significantly less powerful than the 707-hosepower Hellcat, the Z/28 has plenty of race-bred internals that make it one heck of a track toy.

Why it matters

The heavy discounts may have something to do with the fact that the Z/28 isn't selling as good as Chevrolet had hoped, but it could also be the result of the fact that 2015 is the muscle car's final model year on the market. With the sixth-gen Camaro already out there, an updated Z/28 is likely to arrive in a couple of years.

But even though the next Z/28 will probably be quicker and more powerful, the current coupe is nothing to sneeze at. And for less than $60,000, it quite the bargain, especially considering that the final production run won't surpass the 3,000-unit mark. The discount also puts the Z/28 on par with the brand-new Shelby GT350, so you can now have a look at both cars unless you've already selected a side in the Mustang-->ke428Camaro->ke248 war and you can't betray your comrades.

Whatever the case, it's arguably one of the best offers for this year's Black Friday. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to find my piggy bank. And my hammer.
