The BMW M3 is the pure definition of sporty luxuriousness in a four-door package. In standard form, the 3.0-liter inline-six under the hood delivers a cool 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Performance is on point, with 60 mph coming in around 4.1 seconds and top speed well above 155 mph if you remove the electric speed limited. Despite the fact that the M3 had just recently launched with an all-new body, it was also subjected to the mild facelift that the 3 Series lineup received for the 2016 model year. This facelifted didn’t bring much outside of some updated exterior light units, some new colors, and a few tweaks to the interior, but it was a nice surprise for a car that was still so new.

With the M3 being such a popular car, BMW didn’t waste any time coming up with a competition package for it. This competition package brings highlights like subtly and strategically placed accents and a new set of 20-inch wheels on the outside. But, the beauty of buying a BMW means that you can get with BMW individual and make your new car truly unique. And, that brings me to the car you see here. What you’re looking at is a BMW M3 with the Competition Package and plenty of BMW Individual DNA to go with it.

To start out, the car is finished in BMW Individual Ferrari Red and equipped with the M Performance aerodynamic kit. There’s also M Performance carbon fiber mirrors, an Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system, and an Akrapovic carbon fiber diffuser in the rear. Inside, the car gets Individual Red interior trim with leather stitching and loads of carbon fiber inlays to remind passengers that they are riding in something special. As an M3 competition model, this baby has 450 horsepower and at least 406 pound-feet of torque. It should hit 60 mph in four seconds (01 seconds faster than the standard M3.) Top speed is usually capped at 155 mph, but it’s not unheard of for people to remove the electronic limiters on these babies. BMW Abu Dhabi Motors hasn’t supplied pricing information yet, but you can bet this baby goes for a pretty penny.

Why it matters

There’s just something so mesmerizing about that Ferrari Red on this M3. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and it is accented perfectly by the little hints of gloss black on the grille , the roof, and various other little areas. Inside, the red and black works really well with the carbon fiber and this is certainly a setup I would go for if I was in the market for a new M3. What do you think about this setup? Would you go with a different color? Let us know in the comments below.
