Whether your bag is driving up a fairway, driving through the scrum or driving around a race circuit, all pro athletes thrive on stiff competition. Even when taken far out of their elements, the desire to best any and all challengers is strong in these natural competitors, something that’s more than apparent in BMW’s->ke178 Sporting Challenge. Teased in the above-featured video,->ke278 this challenge brought together England Rugby International player Ben Foden, pro golfer Tommy Fleetwood, and race driver/TV presenter Tiff Needell for a series of tests examining just how well each could cross over between the three sports.

The video was shot in advance of the BMW PGA Championship, which offers a celebrity Pro-Am and four rounds of competition. First on the docket was a bit of power sliding in a new BMW 1 Series,->ke313 followed by a rugby ball kick over a goal post. Next, the boys tried chipping the ball into the back of an X5,->ke326 finally ending with a golf shot against the goal crossbar. All in all, it looks like a lot of fun.

“Tommy and Ben did well in the Power Slide challenge,” Needell commented. “I’d say they scored pars, rather than birdies, but it was a great day. This will be my fourth BMW PGA Pro-Am. It really is a great day out; we get to play alongside our golfing heroes and there’s great interaction with the fans as well. It always amazes me how relaxed the Pros are ahead of such a big tournament.”

Inside you’ll find automatic climate control, a rain sensor and a 6.5-inch color display. A variety of engine options are available, starting with 1.5-liter three-cylinder producing 109 horsepower, up to a 3.0-liter six-cylinder producing 326 horsepower.
