BMW will launch the 3 series diesel (335d) and the X5d on the US market this October.Both models are getting BMW's dual turbocharged 3.0L inline six diesel starting this fall.

On the road, this means acceleration from 0–62 mph in 6.2 seconds and average fuel economy of 23/33 mpg (city/highway, provisional data).
