BMW is going to unveil towards the end of this week a facelifted version of it's compact SUV, X3 which will go on sale in Europe in the fall while the US market will probably have to wait till the end of the year.

The top of the series is the BMW X3 3.0sd, which carries 286 HP and 427 lbs-ft out with its twin turbo-Diesel. Thus the X3 is to accelerate in 6.6 seconds of zero on 60 mph and to reach a top speed of 149 mph.

Styling changes will be mild and they'll include redesigned bumpers and rear light clusters while in the interior, it is said that the X3 will get more quality plastics. More important are the mechanical changes as the X3 will get BMW's two new 6cylinder petrol engines, a 3.0 that produces 266 Hp (from the 130i) and a 218 Hp 2.5.

The european price for the new X3 will start from 33500 euro (42200$).
