As urban areas get more and more crowded, the city car segment is responding with new and updated models. However, not everyone is looking to get into some barebones transportation bubble, so what if you could combine the practicality of a city car with the presence and prestige of a high-end luxury car? Well, Budget Direct Car Insurance did exactly that with the following seven renderings, showing us what to expect if an automaker like Rolls-Royce or Lamborghini decided to downsize in a big way.

The Full Story

Rolls-Royce

Known for its commanding curb-side appeal and expansive interior spaces, Rolls-Royce doesn’t mess about when it comes to offering customers the best of the best in automotive status symbols. However, getting something like a Phantom in and out of high-traffic areas can be a nightmare, which makes this Roller city car much more appealing for those who must contend with such things on a regular basis. The question is - will you still employ a chauffeur?

McLaren

While absurdly fast and masterfully engineered, McLaren’s road cars aren’t exactly the easiest things to drive around on normal streets. The Woking brand addressed that issue with a new Sport Series lineup back in 2016, offering up models like the 540C Coupe and 570S Coupe, but we think there’s still some room left over to make an ever more practical McLaren.

Lamborghini

Few machines have what it takes to challenge the Raging Bull on the track, but these supercars still meet their match when it comes to tackling the rigors of daily life. As such, we think this bite-sized Lambo might be the right fit for anyone looking to take their Italian steed out on the town without the hassle of occupying up to three parking spots. Double bonus points if it’s still rocking the scissor doors.

Koenigsegg

As a brand best known for creating high-powered and highly technical wonder machines, Koenigsegg is a name often associated with insane top speed runs and world-beating performance. This city car version probably isn’t quite as neck-snapping as the rest of the lineup, but we’re betting it’ll get much better fuel returns than the Agera and its twin-turbo 5.0-liter V-8.

Ferrari

The Prancing Horse is changing things up substantially as of late, with rumors swirling that Maranello is cooking up such blasphemous creations as a Ferrari SUV and a Ferrari all-electric sports car. That’s certainly gotta be quite distressing to the purists, but here’s something that’ll really rustle some jimmies.

Bugatti

Of course they were gonna throw in the Chiron, right? Because after all, nothing screams practicality quite like a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W-16 making around 1,500 horsepower. Squashed down, this city car design really emphasizes the Bug in Bugatti.

Bentley

Bentley has already stepped out of its comfort zone with the creation of the Bentayga SUV, and this little monster has the same style at half the size.
