Canada isn’t the first country you think of that gets a fair amount of exclusive special editions. For whatever reason, that distinction probably goes to Japan. But the Great White North gets its fair share, and the latest one is this bespoke beauty from McLaren’s MSO customization division. It’s called the McLaren 570S Spider Canada Commission, and it’s limited to just five units.

What Makes the McLaren 570S Spider Canada Commission so Special?

McLaren’s MSO division has been on overdrive in recent months. It’s created items like the 570GT MSO Black Collection, the 720S Atlantic Blue, and the 720S Black and Gold. Now it has turned its attention to the 570S Spider with exclusive touches dedicated to our fine friends north of the border.

McLaren 570S Spider Canada Commission Exterior

The 570S Spider Canada Commission gets a Silica White paint finish to go with red exposed carbon fiber. Red and white accents also populate the body of the supercar, while the “570S” logos on the door blades have been replaced with Canadian flags. In line with the Canada theme, the country’s iconic maple leaf is also represented on the body through various accents on the rear section of the 570S Spider. The finished product comes as a result of a few trims and packages that McLaren threw in for good measure. The MSO Carbon Fiber Exterior pack is present in the car. So are the MSO carbon fiber accents and a new set of lightweight, 10-spoke forged wheels finished in a Stealth paint.

McLaren 570S Spider Canada Commission Interior

Move inside, and you’ll notice MSO adopt a different treatment compared to the exterior. Instead of following the same red-and-white scheme in the exterior, MSO went with a black leather and Alcantara finish to go with a red Alcantara roofline. There’s more red Alcantara on the steering wheel, which also boasts a few maple leaf accenting pieces. The only white design finish in the interior is the “12-o’clock strip” on the steering wheel. Finishing off the interior is a custom plaque that signifies the model number of the five 570S Spider Canada Commission units.

McLaren 570S Spider Canada Commission Performance

As extensive as the changes are in the body of the supercar, the standard 3.8-liter, biturbo, V-8 carries over from the standard model. It’s still good for 562 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, which helps the supercar sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds before peaking at a top speed of 196 mph.
