Do you remember those three little minicars, Groove, Beat and Trax, that GM revealed in 2007 at the New York Auto Show? They look so funny that no one believed they could be sold to the USA. Well times have changed. "Of the triplets, we (USA) will get one of those variants," says Ed Peper, Chevrolet's vice president. Which one? "I don't want to say at this point." It has been confirmed that the Beat will not be sold in the U.S., but and either the Trax or Groove will be the subcompact Aveo's replacement for 2011. The vehicle that Chevrolet gets will be similar to the concepts, but will possibly be larger in part to meet U.S. crash test standards. For example, the front fender and grille likely will be extended to meet U.S. safety regulations.

Also GM will replace the current Cobalt compact with the new Cruze->ke3230 compact in the 2011 model year.
