American motorists that have been waiting for the Fiat 500->ke1708 to come to American shores will have their wishes granted after Dodge->ke28 CEO Ralph Giles announced that the hatchback will be available Stateside by the end of the year.

In a speech he delivered at the Economic Club of Chicago, Giles was bombarded with a wide-range of questions from a variety of subjects, one of which touched on whether the new Fiat-Chrysler partnership had plans of bringing the Fiat 500 to the U.S.

Despite Giles’ proclamation that the 500 will be making it’s a trip across the pond, Dodge has still to make an official announcement on the news, including the exact date of when the 500 will make its US debut. Keep it here and we’ll update you as soon as further developments become available.
