Ever since it broke cover at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show,->ke228 the Lamborghini Huracan->ke4345 has been a hot topic among Lamborghini->ke44 and supercar aficionados. On one hand, you have its supporters. These people have given their approval of the Huracan as a worthy successor to the modern-day classic that is the Lamborghini Gallardo.->ke375 On the other hand, you have those who aren’t as enamored with the supercar for one reason or another. Usually, these skeptics point to the rather unpredictable driving character of the Huracan. Some say it understeers too much, while others say It’s a little clunky in high speeds. Whatever the case may be, the Lamborghini Huracan still has a lot to prove, to a lot of people, if it hopes to live up to the standards set by its predecessor.

To its credit, Lamborghini is doing its part in giving the Huracan more variety by launching the LP580-2, the new entry-level, rear-wheel-drive version of the supercar->ke177 that has revised aesthetics, a less powerful engine, and a lighter weight to offset the loss in power. Does this version of the Huracan quell all the complaints that have been made for its all-wheel drive brother?

EVO sought to find the answer to that question, and as you can expect, it had plenty to say about the newest member of the Huracan family. I’m not going to spoil the details because the video->ke278 itself is definitely worth watching. It runs close to 12 minutes, so better keep your ears up to hear what EVO thinks of the LP580-2.
