Imagine the perfect setting for a supercar->ke177 to go full tilt without being harassed by heavy traffic, uneven roads, or gawking pedestrians. Obviously, a mega city wouldn’t be the ideal place. Neither is a back road in the countryside that’s littered with enough potholes to make the surface of the Moon jealous. EVO sought to find the ideal place and found a de-restricted mountain road with no other cars in sight and a clear blue sky at sunset serving as the only backdrop. Perfect, right?

That place, ladies and gentlemen, is the Isle of Man, and that’s exactly where EVO’s Henry Catchpole went when he took the Lamborghini Aventador SV for the joyride of all joyrides. Unlike most videos->ke278 to come out of EVO these days, this three-minute episode is devoid of any talking hosts or narrators describing every square inch of the driving experience of the Aventador SV.->ke5187 It’s just Catchpole driving the car, taken from numerous camera angles. The only thing resembling any kind of narration is the furious scream coming out of the Aventador SV’s ear-splitting 6.5-liter V-12 engine. I mean, seriously, isn’t that the sound of pure, unadulterated automotive bliss? It’s glorious!

Remember, that crackling roar disturbing the otherwise peaceful locale that is the Isle Of Man is 740-horsepower and 509-pound-feet-of-torque worth of V-12 fury. It’s hard not to get caught up in the sights and sounds of this video, especially if you’re the type who wishes to have this kind of place to drive your supercar. I don’t have any supercars to call my own, but even I wouldn’t mind having all this space to drive my car. The road is clear. The weather is crips. The scene is absolutely beautiful.

But enough Neruda from me. Go ahead and check out the video for yourselves and let me know if you suddenly develop an itch to take your car out for a joyride of your own. I’m about to do it in far less ideal road conditions, but hey, that’s what happens when you’re inspired, right?
