Getting interviewed for a consumer purchase is pretty ridiculous. Just imagine buying a pack of Post-Its at CVS and then have to explain why you bought one pack instead of two. But every so often, exceptions have to be made, such as the case of Swiss industrialist Albert Obrist and his latest car purchase. Obrist is a noted Ferrari->ke252 collector, so it wasn’t a surprise that Ferrari wanted to ask him about his latest purchase: a 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari.
Naturally, his status as an esteemed Ferrari connoisseur was the perfect opportunity for the Italian automaker to ask him what it feels like to not only own a LaFerrari, but the feeling of adding another model his growing collection of iconic sports cars. Coming from a man who already owns a 1962 Ferrari 250 GT 2+2, a Ferrari 250 TR59, a Ferrari 375 MM,->ke4129 and a Ferrari 215 S, Obrist isn’t the type to beat his chest and boast about his extensive collection of classic Ferraris.
Instead, he’s the type who admits to having a “disease” before sheepishly saying that he bought a LaFerrari to add to his growing collection. Like any new car owner, Obrist immediately took his Grigio Ferri LaFerrari out for a spin and to no one's surprise, Obrist was blown away by the hybrid supercar's->ke177 capabilities, enough to describe the car as “unreal.”
While I appreciate his sentiment on the LaFerrari, I argue that the more appropriate use of the word “unreal” would be to describe his collection of fine, Italian sports cars.
