Raj Nair, the former president of Ford North America, who left the firm earlier in 2018 following an internal investigation into "inappropriate behavior," has joined Canada-based company Multimatic Motorsports. The privately held racing shop has worked with Ford for decades, and it has built the Ford GT supercar since 2015.

According to Road and Track, Nair is now Multimatic's president and chief operating officer. He's basically in charge of the firm's four-year production contract to build Ford GT carbon-fiber bodies. A bit ironic, isn't it?

Nair was president of Ford North America since June 2017, and before that, he served as the company's executive vice president of global product development and Chief Technical Officer. He handled various projects for hybrid and autonomous cars, but he also led the development of the Ford GT.

Nair left Ford in February after an internal investigation determined that "certain behavior was inconsistent with the company's code of conduct." The former exec apologized publicly, but what really happened remains a mystery to this day.
