It’s not quite the same as winning a Mustang,->ke428 but Ford Motor Credit Company is offering folks the opportunity to take a long road trip in the 2015 Mustang in its Ford Credit Dream Drive Sweepstakes. On top of that, the winner will also get a nice wad of cash for the trip.

In this giveaway, Ford Motor Credit is offering one Canadian and one American the opportunity to pilot the Mustang along their predetermined route of choice. The winners can choose from six famous routes, including “Route 66” from Arizona to Las Vegas, “Going-to-the-Sun” Road from Glacier National Park to Flathead, Montana, “Pacific Coast Highway” from Monterey to Laguna Beach, California, “Great River Road” from Memphis, Tennessee to New Orleans, Louisiana, “Overseas Highway” from Miami to the Florida Keys, and “Trans-Canada Highway” from Kelowna, British Columbia, to Calgary, Alberta.

Along with getting to whip the Mustang along one of these awesome routes, Ford Motor Credit will also give the winners of the four-day, three-night road trip round-trip airfare and free lodging for you and a guest, a $750 gas card, a $1,500 gift card, a camera, and other "surprises along the way." The winners also get the opportunity to tailor the trip to their liking, like scheduling a tour at one of the destinations.

If you’re interested, you U.S.-based folks can enter at FordCreditDreamDrive.com and Canadians can enter here.

But hurry. The entry deadline is June 8th.

There is no mention of what 2015 Ford Mustang each winner will pilot, but I would assume that Ford ->ke31would put them in either the new Ecoboost model or the range-topping GT. It would be quite the buzzkill to have to pilot around the V-6-powered model.

Why it matters

There’s nothing quite like a leisurely road trip to put the mind at ease, particularly considering the six awesome routes available. What makes it even sweeter is the fact that you can cruise this route in a new Mustang, and I am sure Ford will put you up in high-end lodging, feed you great food, and make it a trip to remember. Oh, and who couldn’t use an extra $1,500 in his wallet? Sounds like one hell of a great time to me!
