Unveiled at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, the Ford Ranger is set to return to American dealerships after a very long absence. However, pricing and some important information remained a mystery. Now, the truck's configurator showed up earlier than expected on Ford's official website, revealing cab options and specific pricing. I say earlier than expected because Ford has taken the page down shortly after it made headlines.

The configurator reveals that the Ranger will be offered in three body styles. There will be a Regular cab model, but only in base XL trim, and a SuperCab version with three equipment lines, XL, XLT, and Lariat. The four-door SuperCrew version will also be offered in three distinct trims. All models are powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is optional across the line.

In an e-mail to Autoblog, Ford said that there will be no regular cab model available for the Ranger. It's a bit strange to have it online and not offer it, but we'll have to wait and see.

Unfortunately, there isn't much information about features and options inside and out, yet another sign that the configurator wasn't supposed to go up yet.

The biggest news is the pricing listed for all available versions. The base XL model with the supposedly not available regular cab was listed at $24,000. The SuperCab XL comes in at $24,300, while the SuperCab XLT costs $27,940. The SuperCab Lariat fetches $32,210 before options. Moving over to the SuperCrew line, the XL starts from $26,520, the XLT costs $30,115, while the range-topping Lariat retails from $34,385.

Ford said that pricing isn't yet finalized, but these figures look pretty specific. Anyway, the full configurator is supposed to go online next week so we will find out more soon enough. Stay tuned for updates.
