Fans of the Halo action video game series will instantly know what this vehicle is, but for those who don’t, here’s the short version: it’s called the M12 Force Application Vehicle, affectionately known as the Warthog, and it was a vehicle exclusively relegated to the virtual world, until a fan decided to make one in real life.

The Full Story

He says he built this perfect replica of the in-game Warthog with no outside help, which is perhaps why it took him no less than five and a half years to complete the project.

He first started out with the chassis and powertrain from a 1984 Chevy K10 and he modified the engine with a custom carburetor setup, as well as new headers and he even made its own power steering system for the application. The body is completely hand-fabricated from steel and he says he did most of the work himself, in his garage, although he did have to use 3D printing for some of the trickier bits.

The result is a seriously badass looking vehicle which will not only impress those familiar with Halo lore, but pretty much everybody else, as well.

The vehicle is fully street legal, it comes with seatbelts, indicators, high and low beams, and it probably drives not too different from the original K10 pickup. It even has a very sturdy looking roll cage and Bryant says he built it first, then the rest of the body around it. He doesn’t intend to sell the vehicle, in case you were wondering, but if he did he’d want no less than $100,000 for it.
