Mercedes-AMG->ke8 continues to log miles on the Nürburgring->ke999 in what we believe is a lighter, faster Black Series variant of the AMG GT->ke4853 sports car.->ke506 Roaring along at full chat, this video shows a camo’d GT with a lower, meaner and all-around more aggressive stance.

Wheel arches have been widened at all four corners by at least an inch to accommodate more rubber. A bigger front splitter juts out from under the front fascia, which has some new, rather serious-looking canards on either side. Weirdly, there are also huge canards on the front quarter panels above the air vents, aft of the front wheels.

The drama continues out back with a pre-production rear spoiler (at least we hope the final version won’t look like that), with a sizable Gurney flap. A larger rear diffuser sits between two trapezoidal exhaust outlets, which appear unchanged from the regular GT.

As its V-8 warble suggests, this test mule is has a more powerful version of AMG’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 under the long hood. Around 550 horsepower is expected. This prototype also appears to use larger carbon-ceramic brake discs, which should come standard.

AMG boss Tobias Moers has already confirmed a Black Series GT is on the way for the 2018 model year. But we could be looking at a stopgap between the GT and the GT Black Series that’s slated to arrive sooner. Moers has expressed his desire to see a wide range of AMG GTs that could include everything from hardcore variants to convertibles.->ke144 A customer who claims he’s already ordered the car recently suggested that it could be called GT R (though Nissan might have something to say about that), and will produce around 522 horsepower.
