Excited to see Hyundai's new full-size SUV at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show? Well, your wait was just shortened by more than two weeks thanks to an official photo that leaked onto the web.

Sure, it's not much and we still have to wait for the interior and drivetrain specs, but now we know how the Palisade looks like. And needless to say, it's quite spectacular. Although big and boxy, like most other SUVs from this niche, the Palisade also looks bold and stands out from the pack.

Combining a mix of features from the HDC-2 Grandmaster concept and the latest Santa Fe, the Palisade boasts a unique front end. The massive grille, which features thick horizontal slats and an even thicker frame, is flanked by extremely thin lights at the top and big headlamps toward the bottom. A thin grille just above the apron adds character and sportiness.

The profile is pretty much standard with a mix of beefy fenders, sculpted side skirts, and a body rear section, but these features only add to the presence of this big hauler. The almost vertical tailgate suggests a big, spacious trunk for large, boxy items.

Official data is not yet available, but we already know a few things about this SUV. We expect it to feature the tried-and-trusted 3.3-liter V-6 with 290 horsepower, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive in the more expensive trims. A hybrid could arrive at a later date, while a diesel could be offered outside North America.

Stay tuned for more info on the Palisade as the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show moves closer.
