The new F-Type Coupe made its world debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, and the biggest surprise was the addition of a new R version. As the model was powered by the same V-8 engine used in cars like the XKR-S everyone believed that this will be in fact the alternative to the rumored F-Type Coupe R-S.

Well, that's not true. During the show, Jaguar design director Ian Callum hinted that the new F-Type Coupe->ke1224 will get at least two additional versions, including the more powerful R-S and a track-focused version, just like the XKR-S GT.

According to Callum, "We now have a well balanced model cycle plan for each car, upward, downwards and sideways. With the F-type, the R-S is one of those possibilities." We are not very sure if this can be considered a confirmation, but during the summer it was rumored that the F-Type Coupe R-S will deliver about 700 horsepower. If this will really happen, then the R-S will easily pass the 200 mph barrier.

He did not offered any details on when the two models will arrive, but he did confirm there will be a one-year break between the launches.
