Even once every single unit of the 2016 Koensigsegg Regera has been built, it will still be an extremely rare car. Only 80 units of the $1.9 million hypercar->ke177 will ever be produced, so those not living in Monaco probably won't catch sight of them all that often. But since Koenigsegg->ke43 is such a small manufacturer, and can only produce so many cars at a time, there are currently a lot fewer than 80 units to try to spot out in the wild. Yet here we have a video->ke278 of one spotted near the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

There aren't any public displays of the kinds of speeds which we know the car to be capable of, but with so much of what we've seen of the car so far having been either photos or video footage of it just sitting there, it's good to be able to see it in motion at all. But even better than is getting to hear the sound, we don't really hear any particularly high revving, but the sound of the twin-turbo V-8 is amazing at any speed. And for a bonus, we get a shot of the retractable spoiler in action too.

2016 Koenigsegg Regera

The paint color on this Regera->ke5077 is going to look familiar to anyone obsessively following the news of the Swedish hypercar, and it's very likely that we're seeing the same car that we've seen before. But this just reinforces the point of how rare it is, and also suggests that this car was sent by Koenigsegg itself, rather than simply being one that belongs to a wealthy Goodwood->ke3879 fan. Looking forward to seeing more of this 1,500-horsepower machine in action.
