Lexus ->ke47 has been testing F variant of the new-generation GS sedan for quite some time. Unfortunately, it has always been under heavy camouflage. Today, a leaked Japanese magazine seems to reveal the upcoming GS F, and it certainly appears to be the real deal.

As we can see from these leaked images, it looks like the GS F->ke439 features large air intakes and a sporty carbon-fiber body kit. For the rear, the GS F features the signature, double-stacked exhaust exits seen on the Lexus IS F before it.

As for the powerplant, we have heard all kinds of rumors that range from a possible V-8 engine to a performance-based hybrid powertrain. This Japanese magazine does reveal that the GS F will carry a 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V-8 engine with an output of 465 horsepower. Now we just need to find out if these are for real, or just a prank.

2015 Lexus GS F

Lexus prepared the GS F as a response to German high-performance sedans, like the BMW M5->ke2922 and the Mercedes E63 AMG. The model has been out testing for a few months now, and we expect Lexus to unveiled it in early 2014.

The GS F will combine design elements from the next-generation GS and F elements from the IS F sports sedan. The prototypes we caught testing featured large brake-cooling ducts adjacent to standard fog lamps, LED headlights, functional front fender air outlets with lower edges and the usual four exhaust diffusers.

Under the hood the next GS F will likely get a 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V-8 engine with an output of 465 horsepower, although previous rumors suggested we could also see a V-6 powertrain.
