Lexus'->ke47 brave offensive against the Germans continued in 2014 with the introduction of the 2015 RC F, a state-of-the-art, beefed-up coupe aimed at the BMW M4->ke4183 and the Audi RS5.->ke2628 The high-performance two-door was unveiled with aggressive exterior styling, a sporty interior inspired by the LF-A supercar,->ke2181 and a brand-new V-8 powerplant behind the massive front grille. The 5.0-liter V-8 cranks out 467 horsepower and 389 pound-feet of torque, placing the RC F above its BMW- and Audi-badged rivals in terms of horsepower. Sure, the Japanese coupe is half a second slower than the M4 from 0 to 60 mph, but it comes with a superior top speed at 170 mph.

Exterior Colors

As with most high-performance Lexus models, the RC F comes with plenty of exterior color choices. Seven colors to be more specific, selected to suit the various tastes. If you're the classy type, there are two shades of gray to choose from -- Liquid Platinum and Nebula Gray Pearl -- besides the usual Obsidian Black and the Ultra White. If you're looking for shade that showcases the coupe's sporty nature, there's the flashy Infrared, the Ultrasonic Blue Mica and the Molten Pearl. The latter, which is a metallic blend of copper and orange, will enable the RC F to shine from miles away.

Interior

Options are equally diverse as far as interior color combinations go. The Black Nuluxe cabin comes with either a carbon-fiber or silver trim, while leather interiors can be had in three different hues. You can pick between Black, Circuit Red or Stratus Gray leather, all three are complemented by carbon-fiber trim.

Packages and Options

Three different packages are available for the RC F, starting with the Premium Package. For $4,400, the bundle adds heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, Intuitive Parking Assist, Premium Triple-Beam LED headlamps, auto-dimming side mirrors, Advanced Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lexus Memory System.

Next up is the Navigation System Package, which costs $1,760 and adds a host of features and apps, including voice-activated navigation, an all-new remote touchpad, CD/DVD player, Fuel Guide, and a Mark Levinson premium audio system with 17 speakers.

Lastly, there's an All-Weather Package with headlamp washers, a windshield-wiper deicer and a heated steering wheel for $280.

As far as standalone options go, customers can equip the RC F with premium triple-beam LED headlamps for $1,160, a moonroof for $1,100; hand-polished, 19-inch, 20-spoke wheels for $1,500, and leather interior trim for $800. The accessories list includes paint protection film ($429), door edge guards ($115), all-weather floor mats ($110), and a carpet trunk mat ($105) among others.
