In a unique online event, two original serial internet based movies will give viewers a preview of an upcoming full-length feature film - courtesy of Lincoln and Mercury.

Beginning today, viewers can follow the internet movies, LovelyBySurpise and TheNeverything, which together form a super preview of a full-length independent film, scheduled for release this fall. Both series will add a new episode each week for a five-week period.

The Lincoln serial internet movies is a story of a driven young woman pursuing her dream to become a published author. The Mercury web movie  gives a glimpse into the world of two offbeat but endearing brothers on the brink of discovery.

Along with top-notch production values, both movies feature casts of noted actors.

Austin Pendleton takes on the role of the young author's mentor in LovelyBySurprise.com, Pendleton's resume includes movies such as "A Beautiful Mind" and "Amistad." Veteran actress Kate Burton ("Grey's Anatomy" and "The Ice Storm") lends her experience as his wife and newcomer Carrie Peterson ("Transamerica," "Sex and the City") leads the cast as the 'gifted' but stalled author.

Meanwhile, for Mercury's TheNeverything.com the two quirky brothers are played by Dallas Roberts ("Walk the Line") and up-and-comer Michael Chernus.

The internet movies were created by filmmaker Kirt Gunn and Associates with cinematographer Steve Yedlin whose work on the film Brick was a 2005 Sundance Film Festival Special Jury prize winner.

In LovelyBySurprise.com a female author, who is experiencing a bout of writer's block, turns to her mentor and former flame for advice. As the story progresses each week, viewers discover more about the conflict that is ultimately clouding her creative process.

Mercury's TheNeverything features two quirky brothers who lead a carefree, child-like existence in their unconventional world: a houseboat in the middle of an empty field who know nothing about the outside world. As the story unfolds, one brother is drawn to discover more of what the world has to offer.

Along with the serial internet-based movies' entertainment value, the project offers viewers a chance to learn about new products like the Lincoln Zephyr and Mercury Milan mid-size sedans. Indeed, as part of the promotions for the movies, viewers can win a new Zephyr or Milan.
