Mazda seems to be on a roll these days. After attending auto shows all across the globe, the Japanese automaker finally returns to its homeland with a variety of models that it plans to unveil at the Tokyo Auto Salon next month. Can it spin the same magic and continue the good form here?

Meet The Company Representatives

The first hot model from the automaker is a Mazda 3 Custom Style which is based on the 2019 Mazda 3 that made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month. The car rides on 18-inch BBS wheels. As for the interior, not much has changed other than the addition of new sports pedals and floor mats.

Mazda will also be showcasing the modified versions of the CX-5 and the CX-8. The CX-5 comes with additional plastic body cladding with aluminum inserts on the outside. Inside the cabin, it features aluminum pedals, illuminated door sills, and floor mats that have something known as ‘deodorizing function.’ Weird, but since they are concepts, we will take it. The CX-8 Custom Style features faux skid plates and 20-inch aluminum wheels. On the inside, the changes are the same as the CX-5.

This One Looks Exciting!

The potential show-stopper, however, is the Roadster Drop-Head Coupe Concept. Other than this lightweight roof, it comes with a front splitter, aerodynamic side skirts, and 16-inch RAYS wheels. The coupe concept also comes with modifications like a front tow hook, aluminum pedals, and Recaro sports seats. On the performance front, there’s a new flywheel, a high-performance air filter, and a limited slip differential.

Conclusion

Apart from the aforementioned cars, attendees will also be able to check out MX-5 Cup race cars that will be displayed at the event. Let us know your thoughts on these concepts and modified cars in the comments section below.
