Throughout it's short history as a road-going car manufacturer, McLaren->ke284 rarely had more than one vehicle on offer. This changed in 2013 when the P1->ke4608 supercar->ke177 joined the MP4-12C->ke3514 sports car,->ke506 which was later replaced by the 650S.->ke4801 Come 2015, and the Brits added a third model to their lineup. It goes by the name Sports Series and it is aimed at the Porsche 911 Turbo. The first model of the new series, the 570S, broke cover at the 2015 New York Auto Show->ke226 last week, with a P1-inspired design and 562 horsepower at its disposal. Moreover, it sports McLaren's latest in terms of race-bred technology, on top of being the lightest vehicle in its class.

But despite its racy character, the 570S was developed with day-to-day usability in mind, and is packed with premium features. Its cabin provides the most usable space of any McLaren to date, while offering leather-wrapped seats, and a leather-trimmed dashboard and steering wheel as standard, just like its Porsche-built competitor. Making the 570S that much more appealing is the availability of numerous customization options, most of them courtesy of the brand's MSO division. These were pretty much a mystery until today, when McLaren fired up the 570S Coupe's online configurator. Keep reading to find out more and head over to McLaren's official website to customize your own.

Exterior Colors

There are no fewer that 17 exterior paints available for the 570S, including various shades of white, black and silver, as well as flashier colors such as Ventura Orange, Volcano Orange, Mantis Green or Vermillion Red. There's even McLaren Orange on offer, which is very similar to the iconic Papaya Orange seen on the iconic F1 supercar. So whether you're a plastic surgeon or a rock star, McLaren has you covered.

Be prepared to pay a premium for the fancier colors though, as only White, Blue and Silver can be had at no extra cost.

Naturally, customization of the 570S goes way beyond the exterior paint. The mirrors, roof panel, door inserts, aero blade, rear deck, side intake, side skirts and rear diffuser can be had in either body/standard color or carbon-fiber. These options can be selected separately or via the two carbon-fiber packs available. Other options include Stealth finishes for the exhaust tips and badges, as well as a sport exhaust system and bespoke door latches.

Wheels And Brakes

Wheel options are as varied as they get, with three designs and three finishes to choose from. You can choose between the standard S forged wheels, the five-spoke lightweight forged rollers, and the more expensive super-lightweight forged rims. Each design can be ordered in either Silver, Stealth or Diamond Cut finishes. The wheels can be wrapped in either Pirelli P Zero or the grippier P Zero Corsa tires.

When it comes to brakes, the 570S can be equipped with either iron or carbon-ceramic drotors. As for the calipers, they come in either orange, silver, red or yellow with black logos, or in black with silver logos. There's also a set of polished calipers with black logos exclusive to the carbon-ceramic setup.

Interior

Likewise, there's an array of choices for the interior, including five Luxury Design and five Sport Design configurations. While the Luxury layouts feature colors such as Saddle Tan, Almond White, and Areia, all Sport interiors come with black upholstery complemented by either Apex Red, Capella Orange, Stone Grey, McLaren Orange or Mantis Green. Notice how most interior combinations will match the exterior paint.

If you don't find any of these configurations appealing, McLaren will be happy to allow you to design your own cabin. You can do so by selecting from various features, including the Carbon Fiber Pack or the Lux Pack.

Accessories

More features can be found on the 570S' accessory list. Customers can add various parking and security sensors, a fire extinguisher, an ashtray (how un-PC!) and branded floor mats. Audiophiles have three sound systems to choose from: McLaren's 4- or 8-speaker system or the 12-speaker unit provided by Bowers & Wilkins (go for the B&W). Those looking to have some fun at the track can have their 570S equipped with McLaren's Track Telemetry system.

Porsche is the acknowledged king of option lists, but it looks as though the 570S will compete with the 911 on that front as well.
