McLaren P1, LaFerrari And Porsche 918 At Silverstone: Video

To our knowledge, this video depicts the first time the McLaren P1,->ke4608 Ferrari LaFerrari->ke4626 and Porsche 918 Spyder->ke3629 have all been on the same track at the same time, or at least, it’s the first time someone has thought to bring a video camera and a few GoPros to document the proceedings. The hypercar trinity was brought together at England’s Silverstone Circuit->ke1009 to take a few lucky passengers on hot lap rides at a Supercar Driver charity event. Timed laps weren’t allowed (you can probably thank Ferrari->ke252 for that), but just seeing the three on track together at the same time is a pretty amazing sight.

Amazingly, these three cars are all owned by one guy. Paul Bailey is an English businessman who made his future in the telecom industry and is thought to be one of the few, if not the only, human being on the planet that owns all three hybrid->ke147 hypercars.->ke177 He took delivery of the P1 first in 2014. Some months later in early 2015 he drove the P1 to the Ferrari dealership to pick up his LaFerrari. That same day, he and his wife drove the P1 and the LaFerrari to a Porsche->ke1 dealership about 100 miles away to pick up the 918. He’s obviously doing something right.

In case you need a refresher, the McLaren P1 is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-8, which, when combined with its electric motor, produces 903 horsepower. The 918 uses an atmospheric flat-plane-crank V-8 and two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear, to produce 887 horsepower. The most powerful of the bunch is the LaFerrari. It’s howling 6.3-liter V-12 incorporates an electric motor mounted directly to the gearbox to produce 963 horsepower. All together, it’s a combined output of 2,453 horsepower. Each will sprint to 60 in under three seconds and easily exceed 200 mph.
