The Beijing and Shanghai auto shows are placed where you can find affordable cars that aren't available anywhere else in the world sitting only meters away from luxury rigs. You can also stumble upon shameless copies of Western vehicles made by local automakers. But each edition also showcases at least one high exclusive, highly expensive supercar. This year it's the McLaren 570GT Cabbeen Collection, a limited run of only five cars design by MSO and a Chinese fashion design wear company.

The first MSO model to use distinctive Chinese classic design elements, the Cabbeen Collection is all about dragon motifs. Yes, dragon graphics on cars are a bit cheesy, but this mythological creature is part of China's cultural heritage, and that's not changing anytime soon. Finished in a bespoke MSO paint called Obsidian Black, the supecar sports hand-painted dragons on the door inserts. These are made in Speedline Gold for a strong contrast with the body. Both the 15-spoke wheels and the brake calipers are painted in the same color for an even flashier look.

The dragon theme continues inside the cabin with the same creature embroidered in gold on the Alcantara center tunnel and in the luggage compartment. These were sewn by Kang Huifang, the Director of the Professional Embroidery Committee of China’s Arts and Crafts Institute and renowned for her work over four decades to preserve the art of Chao Embroidery. In addition to the China-specific motifs, this 570GT comes with carbon-fiber sill covers.

There's nothing special under the hood of this McLaren, but this isn't an issue since the twin-turbo, 3.8-liter V-8 produces a whopping 562 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Getting to 62 mph takes only 3.4 seconds, to go with a top speed of 204 mph. Fast as a dragon?
