We just reported that McLaren had filed the trademark paperwork for the McLaren GT name, and it dawned on us that, with all of the excitement of the Geneva Motor Show, we forgot to tell you about a trio of teasers that McLaren released as it boasted about its upcoming Hyper GT. Keep in mind, the upcoming car will feature a mid-seat design like that of the McLaren F1 and will, in fact, be even faster, passing the 243 mph threshold. McLaren probably isn’t going for any records here, so don’t expect it to be excessively faster, but it will go beyond the previous benchmark.

With that in mind, it will be the fastest McLaren ever built and is also being billed as the most luxurious. McLaren will only built 106 examples, and all were spoken for before it was even announced back in 2016 – now that’s the definition of high demand! McLaren plans to debut the new addition to the Ultimate Series by the end of 2018, but it will be revealed to customers before that happens. As usual, each model will be customized at the demand of each owner, and production is expected to begin before the turn of the decade.

Until that happens, or someone leaks some information – a pretty normal thing these days – check out the teaser images and some spy shots. That should certainly hold you over for now, right?
