Mercedes-Benz->ke187 is offering car lovers a chance of a lifetime. People from all over the world might get the chance to drive the new super sports car from AMG, the SLS->ke2504. This car is so rare that most of us will never have the chance to see one in the flesh, let alone drive one.

This experience includes driving the 6.3-liter V8 SLS->ke2504 around a few famous European racetracks, being driven around a track by former Formula One driver David Coulthard, racing on the Top Gear test track, and a few unique driving days at Mercedes-Benz World. Only a lucky few will be selected to participate in these events.

To get your chance, look for subtle links to the ‘rare chances to experience the SLS AMG’ entry forms on the Internet and out in the real world.

One event has already taken place, which was the chance to get driven around by David Coulthard, but it’s the next event that will really take the cake.

In collaboration with Gran Turimso 5, players who record the top 100 lap times at an exclusive game preview at Mercedes-Benz World will get a chance to take the SLS on the track themselves after a tiny bit of training. Don’t think you will be using plain controllers either, as Mercedes will have specially designed GT5 pods.

This event will run through July 23, with the next event taking place in August.

Those of you that won’t get the chance to take part in the event will have to wait until November when the game is to be released to the public. It will feature over 1,000 cars with 20 tracks. Not to mention stunning graphics.

The SLS AMG is the first car developed in-house by AMG, the high performance division of Mercedes-Benz. It was launched on July 1 in the UK and it’s bloody fantastic to drive.

Up front there is a hand-made V8 with 571 horsepower from 6.2-liters. Attached to that motor is a double-clutch AMG seven-speed transmission, which is just fantastic for use around town or on the track.

All the power and the lovely gearbox helps the SLS hit 60 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 197, which is electronically limited.

From the outside, the car looks very aggressive and very butch. The long hood makes it a bit difficult to see out of, but it looks stunning from the outside. The design is inspired by the 300SL from 1954 and the SLS even have gull-wing doors.
