The Mercedes-Benz R320, ML320 and GL320 BlueTecs can be fitted with HD Radio as a part of the infotainment systems, when they arrive in the United States this fall.

Customers can can choose between HD radio and Sirius Satellite Radio. Mercedes and BMW along with Jaguar are the vehicles offering HD Radio in the U.S.

Integrated features will include a hand-free system based on Bluetooth technology, and an Aux-In connection for your iPod and other mobile audio units.

Mercedes-Benz says there is a choice of three media interface units, all of them come with color display, a twin tuner for enhanced radio reception, speed-sensitive volume control, a keypad for typing in telephone numbers and radio frequencies, and a Bluetooth interface which allows a mobile phone to be wirelessly linked to the hands-free system.
