The AMG Mercedes CLK-DTM was never sold in the USA, but Mario Spitzner, AMG-Mercedes director of marketing & sales/branding, said: "I get a lot of pressure from our best customers to bring it to the U.S."

 

The CLK-DTM is a limited production to 100 coupes that were supplemented by another 80 cabriolets, but if it will come to USA the company will probably build even more car: "We would maybe do a bigger series for the U.S.," Spitzner said. "Push us, and it may happen."

For the USA market the CLK-DTM will have even better performance, as the supercharged 5.5-liter V8 used in the previous cars has since been supplanted by AMG's brawny, homegrown 6.2-liter normally aspirated V8.
