At the beginning of this month Mercedes confirmed that the C-Class Coupe version would be unveiled in 2011 and that it will be produced at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen, next to the Saloon, the Estate, and the compact GLK SUV. Today, the British magazine, CAR, comes with new details on the future model.

The future C-Class Coupe will be, in fact, a mini E-Class Coupe modeling much of the same internal organs. The biggest difference is said to be the exterior. The future C-Class coupe has been designed to be prettier and feature a more sportier design: the front and the rear ends will be inspired by the facelift version C-Class (set to be revealed in early 2011), there will be a more sculptured bonnet, restyled lights, and enlarged nasal air intakes.

The engine line-up will include: C180 CGI 1.8litre/156bhp, C250 CGI 1.8litre/204bhp, C350 CGI 3.5litre V6/306bhp, C220 CDI 2.2litre/170bhp and C250 CDI 2.2litre/204bhp.

And since no car comes without its set of options, here they are: lane guidance, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, traffic sign recognition, night vision, automatic parking aids, cornering lights, and cruise control with brake actuation.

We can only assume that these modifications to the exterior will lead to a slight increase in price over the E-Class, but we'll have to wait until closer to the unveiling to confirm these assumptions.
