On the surface, a BMW M4 and a Chevrolet Camaro SS have very little in common. Sure, both are “performance” cars in the most literal definition of the word, but other than that, you might as well be comparing apples to oranges. But that’s on the surface. Once you peel back all the layers that make these two cars different, you’ll notice that the M4->ke4183 and the Camaro SS->ke248 do have some things in common.

Motor Trend's always entertaining tag-team duo of Jason Cammisa and Jonny Liebermann sought to find out if the American muscle car->ke507 really has the stuff to compete against the German wunderkind. To accomplish this, the two embarked on what they described as scientific tests devoid of any subjective opinions. It’s a purely objective review of two performance cars that have more in common than most people think. Obviously, the whole objectivity bit didn’t last very long because Cammisa and Liebermann are both wired to give their opinions, even if they miss the mark on some occasions.

It’s still a pretty telling episode, one that would-be owners of both the M4 and the Camaro SS are invited to watch. Who knows, maybe they change their minds after watching this video,->ke278 or better yet, maybe they just cut right to the chase and get both cars instead.

I know that’s what I’d do if I had the money.
