The annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is never anything short of massively important for anyone heavily invested in video games.->ke2888 This year was even better than most, and for fans of the Need for Speed->ke3700 franchise, this meant a much better look at the new series reboot. There was a short teaser released not long ago that showed some pretty impressive graphics and some police chases, and this new video->ke278 treats us to more of all of this. It always looks like it just finished raining in everything we've seen so far from the game, but the wet pavement and water droplets on the cars looks excellent in the in-engine graphics, so we won't complain.

The game is a reboot for the series, and isn't a direct sequel to anything we've seen before, although EA has already confirmed that it will have quite a bit in common with the Underground series of NFS games. Because of the reboot, the game shares its name with the original 1994 game. Only time will tell if that will get confusing. But if it's half as much fun to play as it looks like it will be, a little confusion is excusable.

The big thing that we know about the game is that there will be five different ways to progress through it, called Speed, Build, Crew, Style and Outlaw. These will overlap, and you will work your way through some more quickly than others depending on your playing style. It seems that there will be a lot of room for different styles as well, since this will be an open world game, and quite a big one too, reportedly twice the size of the world from Rivals.
