For the most part, people can agree that the Bugatti Veyron is the greatest car ever. Yes, naysayers, like McLaren CEO Ron Dennis, can go ahead and begin their negative commentary now, but just be sure to know that pro-Veyrons aren't going to listen anyway. Now, being the greatest car ever leaves little room for others to dive in and take that place. However, as you may or may not know Bugatti is preparing a replacement for the current Veyron supercar and this could mean a new model taking the place atop the automotive pedestal. This next supercar will be more powerful and faster than the current Bugatti Veyron->ke1112.

During a recent interview Big Boss Piëch confirmed that the next Bugatti will have 1200 hp. With that amount of power the new supercar will hit a top speed of more than 260mph, making it again the fastest car in the world. Along with a slight bump in output, the new super car should also be a bit lighter, by about 300 pounds, which will not only make it more efficient at speed, but will bring the 2.5 second 0 to 60 MPH time down a few tenths.

We'll keep the masses posted on any other information we receive about this future monumental vehicle.
