Pininfarina surely knows how to keep the enthusiasts on their toes. Back in July, the automaker announced that it would showcase the PF0 hypercar at a private event during Monterey Car Week. For the next couple of months, the company released many teasers, but managed to keep the car under covers. However, a new teaser was launched that indicates the car might be revealed soon.

Pininfarina Partners with Rimac!

In the latest scoop of information, Pininfarina announced its partnership with Rimac. Rimac’s founder, Mate Rimaac, said “We are very excited about this challenge. Combining Rimac values – technology, innovation and performance with the heritage, history and Italian design of Automobili Pininfarina makes a perfect synergy for an exciting new hypercar – the PF0. This partnership is a big milestone for both companies, and we are looking forward to bringing this incredible machine to life together.”

Pininfarina Gets New Citizenship

There was one other big news along with the partnership. The Italian hypercar manufacturer has migrated to Germany, with its new corporate and operational headquarters in Munich. Michael Perschke, Pininfarina’s CEO, said, “Today marks a significant step for the launch of a range of Pininfarina-branded cars and for PF0, which will be the most powerful Italian-built sports car in history – and the first luxury hypercar to be conceived in Germany.” “We have developed a sophisticated brief to deliver a ground-breaking all-electric hyper GT car to clients from 2020, and now we are curating the partners and suppliers to deliver this dream.”

Conclusion

The CEO had claimed that the PF0 will be “the most powerful Italian-built sports car in history.” Now that they have partnered with Rimac, we are starting to believe that this might be true. The first-ever pure-electric hypercar might come with a range of 310 miles and a top speed of more than 250 mph. The PF0 will set the market on fire once launched. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020.
