Porsche->ke1 is famous for many motorsport achievements, but it takes the most pride in its 17 overall 24 Hours of Le Mans->ke1591 wins. All but one was scored between 1970 and 1998, after which the German manufacturer retired from top-tier racing, leaving Audi to win 13 races in 15 years. In the early 2010s, Stuttgart decided it was time to reclaim its crown after more than a decade and designed the 919, ->ke4873a hybrid->ke147 LMP1 prototype with a flat-four, considered by many an oddity at the time of its unveiling.

The 919 Hybrid hit the track in 2014, but finished only 11th, failing to stop Audi->ke14 from clinching yet another win. But, the Germans didn't give up, updated the 919 Hybrid, fixed its reliability issues, and returned in 2015 to score a 1-2 win and stop Audi from celebrating for the first time since 2009. It's been months since Porsche's most successful endurance racing season in decades came to a halt, and the German manufacturer has released a 53-minute film that documents its efforts behind the 919 Hybrid.

The brand talks about the three years of development, preparation, and unlimited team effort that were needed to turn the 919 Hybrid into a Le Mans winner and reveals never-before-seen footage from both the testing session and the races from the FIA World Endurance Championship. You don't have to be a Porsche enthusiast to enjoy this insightful documentary, but if you are, it's a film you simply cannot miss. Hit play for a closer look into Porsche's strategy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
