After Porsche->ke1 took the future 911 Turbo out for a little test session, they then proceeded to do the same with the Cabrio. Lucky for us, the spy photographers were at the right place at the right time to catch the prototype during its hot weather testing. Considering the bright sunshine, there was only one way to test the Cabrio; with the top down.

Besides the exchange of hard top for soft top, the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio will have the same features as the Coupe. Expect to see the same 3.8-liter flat-six engine with an output of about 550 HP combined with the Porsche-Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox, brake regeneration, and stop start systems to help reduce fuel consumption by about 12%.

The new Porsche Turbo will make its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, after the new 911 makes its very own world debut in September 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Sales will begin later on in the year.
