Things are going to change a little bit for the next-generation BMW M3 - just as it will for the standard 3-Series models. This means that the sedan version will return after a short lapse to sell under M3->ke2366 nomenclature, while the coupe and convertible will change their name to M4->ke4183. Our spy photographers have caught the upcoming BMW M3 during cold winter testing and we actually get a good look at part of the body, which is painted white.

When it comes to the engine under the hood of the next-generation BMW M3, we have heard all kind of rumors. The most plausible one suggest the model will get a new inline-six engine with bi-turbo or tri-turbo. Despite being a smaller engine than the previous one, output will be increased from the 2011 model year’s 414 horsepower to a total of 450 horsepower. The next M3 will also be lighter, faster and more efficient than the last M3 sedan.

Expect to the new BMW M3 to arrive on the market later this year.
