With the arrival of the Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe, the official debut of the convertible version is imminent. Instead of sitting around and waiting, our spy photographers caught it testing one more time. This time around, our spy photographers caught is lapping the famous Nürburgring race track.

To no surprise, the model wears no camouflage, as everything we needed to see it was revealed by the coupe version. Both models will share exterior design language and technical figures, except the convertible version's retractable top.

Under the hood, the 911 Turbo Convertible will come with a turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection that delivers 520 horsepower in the base version and 560 horsepower in the S version. However, for the drop-top version, the performance figures will be slightly decreased due the weight gain caused by installing the convertible equipment.

Expect the new 911 Turbo Convertible to drop cover in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show->ke235.

As you can see, the prototype caught testing today isn't wearing any camouflage and it looks nearly identical to the coupe version. Up front, it gets a revised fascia with redesigned headlamps and larger air intakes, plus a three-stage front spoiler.

For the rear, the 911 Turbo Convertible gets a deployable rear wing with three adjustable positions.
