Now that BMW->ke178 has unveiled the new generation 3-Series, our attention will focus on the upcoming M3. Even if the car won't be launched until late 2012, BMW engineers have been working round the clock to ensure that the new M3 more than lives up to the hype. New spy shots of the M3 have come up, with the car being caught taking some out to lap around the Nurburgring race track.

Even if the new M3 was heavy camouflaged, it still revealed a design language similar to the one shown with the new 3-Series->ke290, albeit to a more aggressive and sportier level. With the new M3->ke2366 expect to get wider fenders and big air intakes in the front bumper, as well as big brakes and quad exhaust pipes in typical M fashion.

As for the engine placed under the hood, it is rumored that BMW will opt for a a twin-turbo 3.0 liter straight-six engine with a management system and an induction system or a 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine equipped with three turbos.
