After the 911 T, the Cayman T will be going under the knife. Well, not for the looks, but for weight. Reportedly, the 2019 Cayman T will be losing 44 pounds and gaining ten horses to become a faster car. These chops have happened to give the car a more focused driving experience.

Even The So-called Essentials Go Away

According to Auto Express, the Cayman T will be using lighter seats and thinner glass as weight-saving measures. The car will also abstain from using an infotainment system and will feature fabric door pull handles.

The Cayman T will come with a sports exhaust system, and 20-inch alloy wheels. It will also get 20 mm closer to the ground. The Sport Chrono Package is expected to be offered as standard which includes Porsche Active Driveline Mounts and launch control. The manual transmission models will come equipped with a rev-matching function.

The VIN Decoder Document Has Been Proved False In Many Aspects

A couple of months back, the 718 Cayman T was revealed via a VIN decoder guide that was submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. However, Auto Express suggests that the car will be positioned between the Cayman S and the GTS, and will feature a 2.5-liter, turbocharged engine that produces around 360 horses. It is ten horses more than the Cayman S, and five less than the GTS.

Conclusion

If the reports are to be believed, the Porsche 718 Cayman T will be priced between $67,700 and $80,700. Instead of relying on this news, we could wait for Porsche to shed some light on the situation, which shouldn’t take long, as the car is expected to arrive as a 2019 model.
